Is your privacy safe on the
internet? Sadly, the answer is a big ‘No’.
If you allow Google, it can track whole of your online presence,
starting from your most visited website to your casual search. Google uses your
history for keyword suggestions to your search, adwords and many other Google
products.
Unfortunately, most of us don’t know
the fact that, other than browser history, there is a history called Google
Account History. If you made this account history enable Google stores all of
your browsing behavior. And the Default mode for this account history may be ‘Enabled’.
Go to this link: https://www.google.com/settings/accounthistory login and see
what Your History is. Here is what I got.
Google mostly uses these details
for giving you a better internet experience and for displaying ads relevant to
you. And now, it is know that those histories are efficiently utilized for an
app called ‘Google Now’, which can give you notifications on your day to day
life events. This history tracking phenomena works well, until it turns against
you and causes trouble. For say, someone hacked into your account and viewed
all your history, unimaginable right?
Good or bad, for those who think it’s
weird to allow someone to enter your privacy, you may disable your search
history. For those who think it’s okay, it’s Okay. For all of you fellow
surfers, this post sends a message to you. “Google is watching you. Be
Afraid. Be very afraid”.
Peace out..!!
