A Short Note On Surnames

Now I'm here to tell something about a madness some of us still used to follow. We all know the consequences of our country’s caste system. Sadly, those consequences were never good. And this is not a “Change the world” post that speaks against caste; that recommends destroying the caste system. We all know that will never happen.

I’m damn sure that not a single Indian can list all the castes we follow. Some of us stick to one and carry the name all the way in their life. I mean, those times are gone. Of course, our great grandfathers used their caste names as their surnames. But, we’re in a different era. An era people started to treat everyone equally without any caste differences. And yes, it’s just a start, a good start. But still, few people keep using the surname stupidity.

You know what the worst part is? They bring their surnames to social media. That was the most irritating thing ever happened to me in the social media. (Oh yes, candy crush requests are there.) Not only the people around us, even some well acclaimed politicians, film stars, directors and many other celebrities are having this surname “pride”. I don’t know what their motive of using their caste name is. On my point of view, it sounds stupid. Listing those celebs here will completely break the point of this post.

To all those people who use such surnames, I have a kind request for you. It is your freedom to choose your surname. I’m not blaming anyone. Many people quoted this before. If you really want to do something that will make your successors proud, start with letting go of those surnames. And to people like me, Spread the word. See y’all..!!

Truth and Lies Are Human Values

I am on my way to school its July, so there is a gentle breeze; I never knew that day will turn out to be eye opener. My school used to be famous for studies and all mischievous activities. There was a fight between two of my friends, Saran and Abraham, the Friday evening as it is a common thing with friends, gets a small fight while leaving classes and this matter is somehow traveled to the class teacher’s ears.

So it’s time to get popularity and your name will be murmured for some days even for weeks by all friends until she solves the issue. Sometimes it will be taken to principal’s office; there you have to stand out for a while and whoever sees you (teachers) will ask about it later on when they have their class and you will be on the scene. On a positive note I will take this as a chance to make you familiar to everyone as there is a non-understandable and worthless rule is there it’s called ‘No Talk with girls’ and vice-versa for boys.

So now into the act, she is asking everyone about the incident as we boys always tell things in favor of our buddy, she really don’t know what she could do with asking us questions. So she had one more option, she straight away asked the victims to clearly explain what happened and what is the reason behind their quarrel.

She shoots a question to Abraham, Is it you the one who started the fight.

He strongly objected no.

Now the same question to Saran, he blamed on Abraham and smiled at him like nothing happened last Friday, because they themselves sorted it out, it seems to be alright between them and the class teacher now started this again because the complaint is not only about the fight but also one has used some bad words like the***iya during the fight. So she wanted to know who said it.

Now in a huge anger she turned towards Abraham and asked him, is he a true Christian? Including himself in this sort of silly fights, telling bad words, roaming with friends on late evenings and now she said that she wanted to know who used that word. Also she ended with a staring look towards Abraham and said, a true Christian never lies.

This is the plot, it just passed me as an ordinary incident that day, but later when I recollect, I had a huge doubt that is speaking truth only belongs to Christians? And a teacher can teach her students about humanity, how to treat people instead that she is preaching religious values to that boy. There are many places to speak about the almighty, but a school is a place to learn about seeing people as people, hope the concept of uniform is known to everyone. So one of my friend who is a non-Christian, puts his head down and murmured are we allowed to lie? If so am I not punished? I made a small laughter. It’s not that she should not tell about Christianity, everyone around is not Christians and should consider that.

The point is it’s a teacher’s duty to make her student a human and not to restrict him into a religious circle. So in general India needs good humans, irrespective of the religion and school has a major part in doing so.

Engineering aka Unemployment

Not sure where I read this question. You’re in need of a driver, two guys approaches. One having a driving license but doesn't knows how to drive. The other not having a driving license but knows how to drive. Who will you hire?

Isn't the answer obvious? The same happens in our country today. Everyone can get an engineering degree, but only few of us have the ability to land a job. There is an uncountable number of engineering colleges gives out millions of engineers every year. Does everyone get a job? Or a job related to their field? No. Only passionate engineers are making to it. Reason, the spoon-feeding methodology is still happening in many of those colleges. Their only aim is to make every students pass the exams. Once passing out the college, the students become clueless of what next. Talented gets a job. Those who are afraid of job searching go for a post-graduation and postpone job searching for 2 years. Once out from there, the search begins and as a result of failure, they join some engineering college; works hopelessly; eventually producing the “engineers” like them; completes the cycle.

And those who are destined to hunt a job, they suffer, struggle and end up working in a start up with low wages. Some are still searching. Engineering had become a fantasy among our society. Many of us are blindly joins because they’ve informed that an engineer can earn a lot. It’s true, but only a true engineer can. And the parents in India, who are still deciding what their son/daughter should become, just give them a break. Let them chase their dream.

And Fellow Engineers, if someone asks for career advice to you, here is a stat I’ve experienced. On a freelancing website a project is posted for a fixed cost of $7, just $7 and do you know the number of applicants just after 2 minutes from posting? It’s 64 and 53 are from India. Now you know what to advise them.

Peace Out..!!

A Message To Empty Vessels

The Passion is something that your heart keeps on telling you to do when no one believes but you do. You have never liked to care about the talks that were behind and even told for you personally.

The problem is, there are some morons still in this world who could only say that their life time achievement is working under a concern and it ends under it. This is their life and will say that they have so much experience in that field. The real thing is they were sold on a life time price and it will be paid on a monthly basis. They never led their dreams to cherish and these people coined the terms workaholic, which means that they are addicted to work and I am amazed that are your life time dream is working for a salary, not even helping someone around or getting your family for an outing?

There may be some great people and they come under the known people category but will be your 'friend' in Facebook. Their role is to burn their stomach on what you do and comment on it. Never knows to appreciate a first step but knows to congratulate on your day when you are authorized by the whole world and when you are down, will be there to laugh on you or divert you to be a dumb as they are. When someone builds a home on match stick someone will be there to say that it can’t stand against a wind or they could do a better built than this.

Before entering cinema, what if Rajnikanth thought, there is already good actors doing good. Only the passion to become something makes you yourself. There may be best people at your place, but it’s true that when you do it with your hand it’ll be your handcraft and just enjoying the craft is the best way.
The one who keeps on talks with analysis can only be best at doing that, admiring others and talking about them can be a different thing but these peoples sole aim is to keep on talking about the passionate guy and at last end it with an affirmative statement that he had pretty luck.

I keep on remembering some faces while writing this but when you read this if you think it might be you who tells success is luck just look at your life you could have never failed, it means you never tried which tells that you are not going to be succeeded and you are not even in the list to be called as a winner by luck. So make your move instead of commenting on success.

To My dear girls Dads

You have never gave any freedom to your daughter, from her very young age you train her to be like her mother who is living her worst life and she spent her major time only from walking to kitchen and hall. You never gave ears to your daughters and you will tease her with giving of a little freedom then and there once in a while, like sending her to an excursion during her school, to show off yourself as a man who would do anything to your kid. But that innocent girl never knows that that will be the maximum thing you could do to your daughter.

You drink, you smoke and you were never nice to your partner, but you pretend to be. You might have got beaten by police-men on roads or even on a scam that is yet to be arrested and you will be behaving like you are ruling the world inside your home.

After her 16's you start to restrict her more and she is not allowed to be like before and you will grow a coward and at this time she will be in a mindset that all the men in this world are born drinkers by the way you are now. And she doesn't want to get married to any drunkard. But then and there you pretend to be a best dad by giving of some gold jewels. So, for her these jewels are the most precious thing and that’s the way you taught her. The distance between two longest things in this world could be measured by the way you give freedom to your son and the way you give freedom to your daughter.

She would like to dance or sing but you could watch some other girls dance but never let your daughter to do so, this is because the way you see a girl is awesome and you want to prevent your daughter from other males’ awesome vision like you do. You failed to teach her courage but tell her that girl should have politeness. By this time she could have lost her dreams and she can see the world outside by hiding behind her school or college.

This is the way I came across many girls, who always have a fear to do what they wanted, from wearing a dress to having a male as a friend. So in your views all the guys at youth hood are there to peek at your girl and may be misuse. But I am sorry to say this, the way you rated guys will never be as bad as you are, you are stealing a girls freedom but that guy at her age will at least do something crazy to make her smile.

The most arrogant thing you do is, You give her education only to get a name in the society to showcase yourself in the name as you are fulfilling your daughter’s needs. But the course she has chosen is your choice. Then the conclusion of most of your part is, even the invitation you printed for your daughters marriage knows that her heart is filled with love but she just accepts to your voice and your part will be continued by another drunkard from your same caste, religion and some more relevant things, the only thing missed will be you have forgotten to see whether their heart matches which is not important to you. And your part will be replaced by someone as her husband and this continues.

Disclaimer : If you think your dad provides you everything including freedom then you are an exception.

Karthi Sukanthan

Two Life Quotes, Better Explained

Never Compare Yourself With others… Never..!!

“If you’re comparing yourself with others, you’re insulting yourself.”

Your classmate got higher grades than you? , Your Colleague got a raise, but not you? You’re in no position to compare them with you and whine. They got what they deserved, so as you. Even, if you’re that person who got higher grades or salary, you must not compare you with them and shouldn’t be thinking you’re the better man than the other person. This is not the end. You can reach more heights.  Everyone has a unique life and unique talents. Be happy with what you got.

Also, never allow someone to compare you with others. Instead of explaining them, show your uniqueness and let them realize. And those puny humans, who compare themselves with you and jealous of you all the time; better, stay away from them.

Worrying And Caring About The Future

Generally worrying about things can harm you in more ways. It is a waste of time; things will not get solved just by sitting and worrying; it spoils your health too; Think of it, does worrying about things that are not in your hands will be of any use? We are supposed to live the present without having a thought about future. Anyway, it’s not practically possible for many of us. Meanwhile, caring about future, differs a lot from worrying. Caring starts right at the moment you stop worrying.

Consider this simple scenario; you’re waiting for the train on a late night, which you don’t know the arrival time.

·         Worrying: Simply sitting on the platform, looking at your watch and crushing your mind with unwanted fears.

·         Living the present: You know, there will be a train arriving; be cool; doing any other things that makes the moment interesting; somehow you’re gonna go home.

·         Caring: You ask some stranger nearby or walk to the time table; know the arrival time; stay relaxed.

Hope this helps. Caring is somewhat better than worrying. But, it’s suggested worldwide to live the moment.

Recap of The Week: The Prestige

Three Men show proudly presents you the new featured post ‘Recap of the week’. From now on, every week there will be a recap. We’re going to recap movies that are epic and remain unknown to the most of us Indians. These posts will have solid reasons, why you should consider watching the recapped movies. Let’s get into the first one.

The prestige(2006) - a supernatural thriller movie by Christopher Nolan. The plot travels on a rivalry between two magicians Alfred Borden and Robert Angier in a non-linear way. The word prestige has given a marvellous explanation in the movie, 'Every magic act has 3 parts. First one: The pledge - the magician shows you ordinary something. Second one: The turn - the magician turns that ordinary something into extra-ordinary, (like disappearance). You wouldn't clap yet. Because, making something disappear isn't a big thing, the magician should bring it back that’s the third one called The prestige'.

The whole movie is a magic trick. Once you've seen the movie you’ll be fooled and will be looking for the secret (which is mentioned in the movie itself). I bet many have ended up watching the movie twice or more. I'm one of them. Apart from the excellent screenplay Alfred Borden’s dedication towards his work gives us a good habit to pick up. The movie is based on a novel by Christopher Priest. The movie casts well-known actors like Christian Bale, Hugh Jackman, Scarlett Johansson, Michael Caine etc. Still, It haven’t reached many ears and eyes.

I don’t want this post to be a spoiler for those haven’t watched. May be I can’t write well about a storyline without being a spoiler, as it is my first post about a movie. But I'm sure even a word about the story can be a spoiler.

Christopher Nolan is one of the most gifted film-makers of our generation. You’ll realize this when watching this movie. ‘This deserves your movie bucket list’. You won’t get disappointed by sparing your time with the movie. Share your valuable thoughts about the film in comments..!!

Diogenes - The Legend

This time it’s about a saint who showed us how to live. Even Alexander the Great, had a change in him after he met this saint. I said 'Alexander the great' because no one seems to respect someone near who is more priceless. They need to be authorized by someone who had some prefix or suffix like Alexander. So the saint name is Diogenes. I don’t know how many heard about Diogenes, but he should be known like how we know Sachin.

When Alexander came across India, he heard about this great man and he really want to meet him. So he is searching for Diogenes and came to know that he was taking sun bath near a river bank. The King is really embarrassed to meet him, but he didn’t find any movement in him as he is just lying naked and the king is waiting for him. After a long time he went near Diogenes to wake him, but the saint opened his eyes and inquired about his arrival. Alexander replied that he had heard about him and wanted to see him.

The saint then asked him who he was. Alexander is surprised and told him that he is Alexander the Great and inquired him with exclamation that how could he never come across a great king who ruled most part of this world.

The saint then replied, ‘you call yourself as the great!!!’
Alexander then answered, ‘I am a king so called as Alexander the great’.

Then Diogenes told, ‘Oh!! So you have the superiority complex and you know what, superiority complex is a kind of inferiority complex. So, what’s your ambition?’

The king then replied, ‘I now ruled most part of this world and I have to rule the whole world one day’.

The saint with a smile again inquired him, ‘After that?’

The king answered, ‘After that I want to relax with no work left and enjoy the world’.

The saint now said, ‘You could enjoy the world from now on why you wanted to wait for ruling the world? Do you find any connect?’

The king has no answer left and he started to think about what Diogenes has told him. Then he asked the saint whether he could do any favor to him.

The king thought he might ask him something that can’t be given, but to his surprise the wise man asked him to step aside as he wants sunlight to fall on him directly.

The man who almost ruled the world could give anything that he wants, but he just wanted him to step aside.

After this the king started to live without wars and there is a coincidence that Diogenes and Alexander left this world with the story all known that Alexander dead with the stretched hand. Alexander’s last message to the world is an inspiration from an Indian saint.

As a Conclusion, Proud to be an Indian, but don’t hurt other countrymen just because you’re Indian because you will be categorized even within this nation from state to state because the border lines are everywhere.

Google is watching you. Be Afraid.

Is your privacy safe on the internet? Sadly, the answer is a big ‘No’.  If you allow Google, it can track whole of your online presence, starting from your most visited website to your casual search. Google uses your history for keyword suggestions to your search, adwords and many other Google products.

Unfortunately, most of us don’t know the fact that, other than browser history, there is a history called Google Account History. If you made this account history enable Google stores all of your browsing behavior. And the Default mode for this account history may be ‘Enabled’. Go to this link: https://www.google.com/settings/accounthistory login and see what Your History is. Here is what I got.

Google mostly uses these details for giving you a better internet experience and for displaying ads relevant to you. And now, it is know that those histories are efficiently utilized for an app called ‘Google Now’, which can give you notifications on your day to day life events. This history tracking phenomena works well, until it turns against you and causes trouble. For say, someone hacked into your account and viewed all your history, unimaginable right?

Good or bad, for those who think it’s weird to allow someone to enter your privacy, you may disable your search history. For those who think it’s okay, it’s Okay. For all of you fellow surfers, this post sends a message to you. “Google is watching you. Be Afraid. Be very afraid”.
Peace out..!!

Like, Share and Follow: There is a Difference

Every time whenever you have a problem you either want to share it with someone closer or mostly pray to god.

The first one we do in the belief that the closer one will give suggestion and the second one, we just want some miracles to happen to come out of problems. So, when the problem gets bigger we try to see whether there is any shortcut to come out.

It is known that god never answers soon. So everyone looks for someone similar to god, does some tricks, which looks odd and talks little philosophy. These kind of persons are groomed themselves like such and their mediator work between us and god starts. These kinds of people are in most religions and earn money through that. All they do is just give some advises or give a little confidence to overcome that. These preaching will surely be heard by every common man from their parents, friends, well-wishers and lovables. But everyone start believing that they are feeling some changes in themselves with the same words in a different version from the gods mediators. Well and good they had changes, but what about they caught and their real faces when tear off, do you still can feel changes in you.

The thing i found odd here is why you need to believe someone and follow him when he can still do flaws like you and a human like us. There are many who showed us how to live and are still living in our hearts like Buddha, Teresa, Periyar and from Jesus to Krishna we had enough to follow. To my knowledge there is nothing left to say something new because all the facts or things to get inspired is already said by someone lived before. If you want to follow someone new just follow them after they passed away in which they had no chance for behaving like normal humans.

So the best in my views is 'like' a living legend, share his views to others, +1 his services and follow him when he has nothing more to do as a human.

Thanking you.
Yours bloggingly,
Sukanthan jai.

I, Me and Myself - An Indian Confession

Hi all,

Let me introduce myself. I'm an Indian. I'm here to explain about my characteristics. You can see me everywhere.Turn to your left, I'm there. Turn to your right, I'm also there. If you’re alone, I'm you as well. I'm not the same one everywhere. I'm divided by languages, states, religions, castes etc. Still, I'm enjoying the so called “Unity in Diversity”. Mine is a developing country. Here is a list of things I do for my country.

Starting from little things, I always complain about my country’s pollution. But, I don’t have the patience to throw my waste in the bin. Yes, I litter everywhere I go. Not only littering, I can spit on the roadsides of my country. I hate corruption; I bribe people to get my things done faster. In short, I cheat my government, every way I can and I expect favours from my government. I shout at piracy; I download and watch movies that released a day before, instead of going to a movie theatre. I curse people who asks dowry; I can’t accept a girl without dowry.

Agriculture is the backbone of my country and I've done no good to agriculture since my birth. I love nature; I kill trees for my home and business. I whine about accidents; I hardly follow any traffic rules. After all of this, I've many other unique specialities which, can’t be shrunk into a blog post. I show my patriotism, philanthropy, social awareness, public interest and everything else only on social media. I will not take any steps further
.
I wonder how many of me are going to understand this self-criticizing post and let go the few mentioned characteristics that are harmful to myself and my nation as well. If one does, I’m happy that I achieved something.

I should change myself.

Honestly,

You.

It’s not two, but three

Every species that lives on earth has equal priority. But humans seem to rule everything. He destroys forest, creates technology and spoils himself. If you ask me that, is humanity cherished and glorified throughout the globe with this? Everyone knows, the answer is no.

The Ignorance among humanity starts from one on one to state to state and nation to nation. The equality among humanity is everybody is still human in appearance, but is there anybody in this human species they are sometimes not accepted (in India), being most ignored from living a common life and many even thrown out of home by their parents.

It was an evening time on train, Thinking was flowing from Davin-ci-code to tamarind seeds, trees to web development, Fourier transform to Facebook and the irritating weather made me to scold the Fourier transforms professor in bad words thinking about the worst classes which are never interesting. Because looking out of window can make your memories fly anywhere.

I had a touch on my shoulder and when I turned back, I saw a person standing with lots of make-up and was begging to me with a clap and I am scared much and moved a little back. They are trans-genders and they came in a group and one said to the other that i got scared by looking at them, then the other laughed and said ok let’s go to the next compartment.

After they went this incident became the title for the passengers around to speak about. One guy said these people always used to disturb others and the other started to support him with different affirmative sentences. A guy on a red t-shirt with age around 17 clapped hands to imitate like them and everyone around gave a sounded laugh!!! , the eclairs wrapper on the guy’s hand moved down, the wrapper seemed to be searching for a dustbin to rest on but it couldn’t find one.

To my surprise I didn’t find that red tees guy was not scolded or even a stare look by his mom. Then on the next station, a physically challenged guy was cleaning the floor with a broom stick and is asking for money. He moved the wrapper with his broomstick and goes on.

After they crossed me, I had this question on my mind. You won’t respect, you won’t give equal rights and you won’t give jobs. But you want them not to beg and even not to come in front. Is this acceptable?

I don’t know why I got that fear by seeing the trans-gender people. It may be because I have never seen such people on a common crowd. They are being ignored and so they choose to stay with people who are ignored like them.

I am not asking to give off everything or stand up and salute them, just treating them equal and giving them equal status in the society will make a huge difference in their lives. So whoever reads this, if you had a change in a way of how you look at them, then this blog has really added a view.

I had many ideas for blogging but I want my first blog to be about our routine way of hurting people which we do without our knowledge.

Yours bloggingly,
Sukanthan Jai.

Disclaimer Is Injurious To Movies

A common man in India has planned to escape his stressful life, by going to
a movie theatre. You know what he’ll face first? Yes, an awareness clip
that describes the ill effects of smoking. And it will not stop there,
every time a smoking scene comes in the movie a disclaimer appears. Two
years before, Indian Health ministry passed the act which forced the movies
to show the disclaimers we’re facing now.

The consequences like the cancellation of Woody Allen’s ‘Blue Jasmine’
release in India and Anurag Khasyap’s opposition on behalf of his ‘Ugly’
are well known. Like this, several acts intended to control tobacco usage
have passed before. Banning advertisements of tobacco products, WELL DONE.
Smoking in public as a punishable offence, AWESOME. Printing “Tobacco
kills” on tobacco product covers, JUST GREAT. But, why movies? What about
other entertainers like books? Let’s just assume a disclaimer printed every
time Lord Shiva lights up a joint in our well acclaimed ‘Shiva Trilogy’,
the book will become a nightmare isn't it? One buys a book to enjoy its
content, not to learn the side effects of smoking. The same applies to a
movie ticket.

Speaking of the clip that played in the beginning of movies, is it
displayed for the right audience? No. What about people who don’t smoke?
And, What about kids, who doesn't even know what tobacco is? It might
create a negative popularity among them. And, those disclaimers during the
smoking scenes, Do we have a disclaimer that states “Raping Women is a
punishable offence” during rape scenes? No one praises rape in our movies,
yet they happen everywhere. Sometimes, the disclaimer appears in the screen
and we can’t even find the guy who smokes, we have to search and our
discovery will be some person in the long shot or out of focus. Eventually,
this induces us to find that smoking person and distracts us from the movie.

Despite airing these disclaimers for years, people continue to smoke and
still India is the home of 12% smokers. Let’s hope our government will come
up with something meaningful, which saves us all from those incoherent
disclaimers & clips, and allow us to enjoy the movies peacefully.
